Model 214A - Transformer Isolated Line Driver

Features:

Full Duplex on Single Pair
0 to 38.4 KBPS
Adaptive Echo Cancellation
ISDN Technology
Up to 3 Miles
Transformer Isolation
Male or Female Version

Product Description:
The Model 214A allows full duplex transmission up to 38.4 KBPS over a single twisted. Scrambled data is differentially encoded which serves to make the data on the line polarity independent. The time base for both modems is referenced to a highly stable crystal clock and is phase locked to the received data stream. The signaling rate between Model 214A's is 160 KBPS, and is maintained over distances of 3 miles, on 22 gauge wire, 1.5 miles on 26 gauge wire, at any full duplex data rate from 0 to 38.4 KBPS. Transformer coupling to the line provides the advantages of ground loop elimination and increased resistance to common mode noise. The Model 214A is available with a male or female DB25 connector and both an RJ-11 and screw terminals for the line. Power is supplied from a small wall mounted transformer. Use of the Fastwire Modem on DTE or DCE ports is accomplished by positioning a slide switch to the appropriate position. This has the effect of reversing pins 2 and 3 of the RS-232 interface. The Fastwire Modem is also equipped with a Ready LED which, when illuminated, informs the user that the link between 214A's is established and both modems are operational.

Specify 209FT for screw terminals or 209FP for RJ-11 modular phone connector. The Model 209 contains a DTE/DCE switch to reverse pins 2 and 3 of the DB9 connector.

Model 203 - RS-232 2 Wire Groundless Line Driver for 1 Twisted Pair

Features:

Full Duplex on Single Pair
DC to 19.2 KBPS
Does Not Require Common Ground
High Common Mode Rejection
No Power Required

Product Description:
The Model 203 uses a fully differential, simultaneous, drive/receive technique on a single pair. The superior properties of differential data transmission have long been known and are used in Telebyte four wire products. Now these same advantages are available on two wire links. The Model 203 RS-232 2 Wire Groundless Line Driver for 1 Twisted Pair provides flawless operation up to 19.2 KBPS over distances of 2 miles. The 203 incorporates low power and advanced power generating circuitry to allow maximum performance while deriving its operating power from the transmitted data line. Additional features of the Model 203 includes a DTE/DCE switch to allow the 203 to be easily used on computers, terminals, and multiplexers. The user interface is a DB25 standard RS-232 connector available in male or female gender. The line side interface supplied on the 203 is a two position terminal block and RJ-11 modular jack.

Model 109A - Bi-directional Parallel-Serial Converter-Buffer

Features:
Printer Support
Parallel to Serial
Serial to Parallel
512K Byte Buffer
Data Rate to 115.2 KBPS
Product Description The Model 109A is a bi-directional interface for parallel and serial interfaces. Connect a computer with parallel output to a serial printer or a computer with serial output to a parallel printer. The Model 109a contains a 512 KB data memory. Operational parameters of the Model 109a are set via DIP switches which are accessible from the side of the unit and include direction of conversion, Baud rate, character length, parity and handshake mode. The handshake switch allows a software mode called X-ON/X-OFF or a hardware mode of operation which supports DTR/DSR and RTS/CTS.
